Firstly by nature and deed we are all sinners, which when informing people of this, they are often, taken back, but the truth must be told.
This all stems from the sin of Adam and Eve who in the garden of Eden rebelled against God by eating of the forbidden fruit, unleashing sin, death, etc in to the world.
In addition, we have all broken the commandments, and aiming to be perfect by them is not possible, heaven is perfect. What then is the solution to all of this?
a) ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF GOD’S GLORY
b) while we were sinners, Christ died for us
The beginning of the solution is that Jesus came, fully God and man, into this lost and dying world. This is beginning of what would be the greatest demonstration and act of love the world has ever known.
c) When we call on the name of the Lord we shall be saved
When we call on the name of the Lord we shall be saved (Romans 10: 13) Salvation is in no other name, nor in any other way, apart from believing in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, and then following with whole heartedness and surrender, Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life!
He not only died, but also critically He rose again, without which no man could be saved. Today we are able to live in resurrection power and live a life of victory.
