WHAT WE BELIEVE
1) WE BELIEVE JESUS CHRIST
IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN
There is no other way to heaven than through the wonder working power of the blood of Jesus Christ that has washed away our sins. No religion, good deed, personal merit or achievement, can get us to heaven.
John 14:6: “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Acts 4: 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
2) there is one god
There is only one true God and He exists as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each having a unique personality within the God head, like an egg shell, the yolk, and the egg white, (three in one).
Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, 'Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness
Colossians 2: 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
3) the undeniable word of god
The Bible is God’s divine transcript to humanity. It is eternal and living. God gave man divine inspiration to note every detail and word of what is contained within the 66 books of the Bible. We do not believe in what some say as ‘missed books' such as the apocrypha, as their are errors contained within these texts.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
1 Peter 1: 25 But the word of the Lord endures forever
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword
4) the holy ghost with the evidence
of speaking in tongues
Tongues is a heavenly language which began all the way back in the early days of the church in the book of Acts, where upon each person rested of flame of the Holy Spirit, and each began to speak with ‘other tongues’ as the Spirit gave utterance.
Acts 2:4: "All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them."
Ephesians 5:18: "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit."
Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
6) that jesus still heals today
We believe that healing was provided for the spirit, soul and body in the atonement of Jesus Christ and today we can pray for our own healing, as well as healing in other’s, in the precious name of Jesus Christ.
James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up."
1 Peter 2:24: "He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; 'by His wounds you have been healed.'"
5) water baptism (outward
expression of an inward change)
The water cannot wash away sins, only the blood of Jesus can. Baptism though as important step in one’s faith, where they are symbolically revealing a real change in their life, as they are lowered (dying to self) and then raised up (raised to new life in Christ)
Acts 2:41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
